Former Employee - Investment Bank in East Meadow, NY

I worked at Bear Stearns full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Bear Stearns was a superb company to work for. Management treated staff as an asset not an expense to be controlled. Longevity was celebrated and rewarded.

    Cons

Unfortunately Bear Stearns is gone now. The only con I had while an employee was limited internal mobility. Once you were good at something you were expected to stay in that job. Of course that meant you were a true subject matter expert.

    Advice to Management

Management like the company is gone. It is too bad. They made it a good place to work. One in which you could start your career right out of school and retire in the same place.
