I worked at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits, free lunch and uniform cleaning, decent pay,

    Cons

Management doesn't listen enough to concerns, people leave often for other jobs, under staffed in the summer, rough on body.

    Advice to Management

Listen to some of your senior people we actually have really good ideas that work and make our job easier. If you see a good worker let them know that. Positive feedback will always build up your team more than negitive will.

I have been working at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive pay, diverse atmosphere, great benefits

    Cons

The usual "good old boy" favoritism you see in major companies, but as long as you do a good job you will be recognized and move up quickly

I worked at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They have an Employee dining area where you are entitled to one meal per 8 hour shift (or 2 meals if you work 12 hours)
    Relatively easy to get PTO
    Really good insurance.

    Cons

    A lot of "red tape"
Department managment seems to be biting off more than they can chew.

    Advice to Management

Please listen to your employees. Think about reinstating some of the prior boss's incentives and policies in order to fix morale issues. And please investigate the EDR. By the end of my time there I couldn't eat there without getting sick.

I have been working at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

They feed you for free, you can be part- time and in 401k, most coworkers are very friendly,

    Cons

They are fighting unions, It takes many years to become full time,

    Advice to Management

When you take something away from your employees, you should try to give them something in return. The last ten changes were met with nothing.

I worked at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved most of my coworkers and we formed a tight team.
Really enjoyed providing service to such diverse clientele

    Cons

Lack of meal breaks on long shifts
    No escape from the heat
    Inconsistent volume
    Coworkers routinely stole from me

    Advice to Management

The mid and upper level management were a pleasure to work for. The supervisors and assistant managers were definitely B-team. One manager confided that s/he had completely made up most of her work history, yet s/he was the best, most organized one to work for.

I have been working at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has great benefits, good people to work with and the guest are fun to talk with . Not to bad of an salary for the experience that is needed for the job. Free meals with every shift worked.

    Cons

Sometimes very physical. Adequate staff would be nice. No weekends or holidays off unless you work in a office. Could have better food in the employees dining room.

    Advice to Management

Need to listen to the employees a bit more. For the most part, everything is good.

I worked at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The Beau Rivage is about diversity in every way. Pros: benefits, insurance, opportunity for advancement, monthly recognition from the entire company, and much more.

    Cons

Often times when you begin you will not have a set schedule until you have worked there for some time. Most departments have the choice to work one of the three shifts and you will most likely start our on 2nd or 3rd shift being new.

    Advice to Management

On the 2nd and 3rd shift it is often difficult to have family time, consider allowing these shifts to have one entire weekend a month or every two months.

I worked at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working for the Beau ravage was an experience. I met awesome friends while working there. I loved my job great benefits.

    Cons

but the management was horrible. They show favoritism based on who has been there the longest. They fired me for a very bogus reason. The guest comes first which I understood but sometimes the guest are complete liars. They do not listen to what there employees have to say it's like a spit in the face. It's also hard to get someone to get your paperwork stating you no longer work for the company. They also will not grant you unemployment.

    Advice to Management

Learn to listen to your employees and show them that they are appreciated.
