I have been working at Beaumont Health part-time

    Pros

Great company to work for full of caring individuals and a lot of room to grow (depending on the position or department).

    Cons

If you are not getting a job as a nurse/doctor/management ect, you and the priorities of your department are very low on the list and will most likely never change or only change for the worse.

    Advice to Management

The company has ALWAYS been much more reactive than proactive, and that makes for sudden and swift changes that are not well thought out and end up causing many more problems.

I have been working at Beaumont Health full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good Health Insurance premiums through their benefits. Great hospital overall with potential to grow.

    Cons

Nearly impossible to get a raise unless you get a promotion. The leadership is a mixed bag. Mostly political and not transparent about anything. It is hard to get work accomplished in the current environment. Leadership micromanages and often creates a slow, unhealthy, and stressful work environment. A lot of great people work here but many I have talked to are looking elsewhere as they feel the same way.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be new leadership or leadership training. Raises should be based on employee performance.

I have been working at Beaumont Health full-time

    Pros

Coworkers (nurses and techs) are incredibly friendly!
The pace is much better than other facilities in the area, with the perks of being a large hospital- typically fully staffed and able to schedule well.
No call (Labor and Delivery) for techs.
    12 Hour shifts only.

    Cons

Communication errors often occur and cases are delayed due to no one knowing when to start a case. Other than that, not many complaints.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with all of your "team" regularly to create a cohesive unit. This will help in understanding the actual issues- not just things you may think are problems.

    Pros

Coworkers are great, they make the job bareable

    Cons

Speaking as a non-clinical employee, I would not recommend working here to anyone. My paycheck has been incorrect multiple times and it is IMPOSSIBLE to fix as HR and payroll refuse to answer the phone or return calls. I am shocked by the lack of value Beaumont places on any single employee, we're all disposable in the eyes of our managers. I genuinely hope patients are treated better than employees are here.

    Advice to Management

Give respect to employees at all levels, accept time off more than a week in advance

    Pros

Decent staffing, location. Opportunity for promotion. Flexible schedule. Tuition reimbursement. Benefits include paid time off, education, healthcare. Huge healthcare system

    Cons

Management prioritizing dumb stuff and not enough focus on employee satisfaction. Too busy worrying about press ganey reviews and pain assesments. Wouldnt want one of these frequent flyers addicted to heroin to miss their prn dilaudid.

Health insurance is a joke for people that work in a hospital

Paid time off keeps getting reduced

    Advice to Management

    Employee satisfaction

I worked at Beaumont Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing good to be mentioned about Beaumont Troy hospital

    Cons

Very unprofessional managers, they lack managerial knowledge and skills, managers are very unfair, they can lie and falsely accuse employees to get rid of them. Unfortunately they are supported by HR. Never trust employee relations personnel, they go and tell managers if you have complaints . Payroll department do mistakes in hours and paycheck, benefits costs a lot, no time to take lunch because of work load. 12 hr nightmare shifts , horrible place to work in

    Advice to Management

All Troy managers should quit, you are destroying a good organization by your managerial style. Please stop gossiping and do your job

    Poor Management
    Racist and violent staff
    Gossipy and petty management
