I worked at Beaumont Health part-time

    Pros

Supervisors that care about you as a person & employee.
    Good work environment.
Regardless of your position, you get to learn a lot.

    Cons

The only downside that I experienced was the fact that it was a hospital & you had to see sad things happen.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Continue to genuinely care about your employees. When I worked there, my supervisor went above & beyond for his employees. I saw some of the others do the same.

I have been working at Beaumont Health full-time

    Pros

I work with some great people.

    Cons

There are also some condescending people. Frequent long hours. Lack of leadership in addressing the many changes. This is a very reactive organization. We need to be more proactive and address the organizational infrastructure that needs to be changed to accommodate supporting the new BH as a whole.

I worked at Beaumont Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large organization that can afford to offer a lot of benefits. Compensation seems to be higher than industry average.

    Cons

Large organization that takes a very long time to make decisions. Tends to hire people based on degree rather than true experience or best fit for a position. Hires a lot from within, which can be nice, but has lead to putting the wrong person in the position (especially higher level positions) just because of relationships.

    Advice to Management

Be more open minded. Be more humble. Stop the internal, politically games. Stop treating employees/physicians like chess pieces as if you are playing a game of chess. I understand a business must to do well (financially and otherwise) to survive and move forward, but PEOPLE make up a COMPANY and need to be treated with decency. Also, own up to your mistakes and take accountability; it is the mature and respectable thing to do.

I have been working at Beaumont Health full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Pay is good. Decent insurance

    Cons

Work load on some is way to much while others dont have much at all but they get paid the same.. I work for Southshore Dietary the Morrison company that runs it is making it worse they are mandated to send out appreciation letters every month we all know but some people have gotten several some havent gotten any a full timer with almost 20 yrs in has gotten none who bust all so bust butt.. But people who have only been here a yr have gotten a couple 😕

    Advice to Management

How about this if its mandated you send appreciation letters make sure all employee's get one before giving some several.. All so maybe if you had an employee of the month and people felt appreciated they might work better and actually want to come to work instead of feeling under appreciated ans hating their Job.. But who am I to say you run it how you want but it will never get better if the favoritism doesn't stop.. One person has write ups for stuff everyone has done.. But noone else ever got wrote up for it..
