I have been working at Beaver Creek Ski Resort part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

From the people to the management, this resort seems to really care about its employees. When I teach a group lesson, I am given a lunch voucher so that I eat for FREE. The parking lot is serviced by busses every 15 minutes to get to work. The training is really incredible too. We receive discounts at all company stores and the communication between departments is really good too. A great place to work.

    Cons

I really can't say that there are any because I am a full cert instructor, I am paid very fairly and I seem to make quite a bit in tips from this high-end clientele.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. I'm proud to be part of this great company.

I worked at Beaver Creek Ski Resort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Location is amazing - a ton of events and fun things to do
Coworkers were great, we all became close friends by the end of the summer
Management is reasonable, understanding, and always willing to help out
4 days on - 3 days off which gives a lot of time to enjoy your summer
Often there's downtown throughout the day so you're not overworked

    Cons

Out in the sun for several hours a day
Don't expect many tips - most of us only got a couple throughout the summer

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I worked at Beaver Creek Ski Resort full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great employees to work with. The supervision was clear, concise and easy to get along with. The company supped housing.

    Cons

Relatedly low hourly rates paid to employees. The annually snow fall has a direct effect on the number of skier visits.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Listen to the feedback from employees and guests. Hiring quality employees will result in more revenue for company.

I worked at Beaver Creek Ski Resort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing people. Live, work, and play outside on one of the country's best ski resorts.

    Cons

As a top-tier resort, the customer service is impeccable. On the backend, as an employee, this sometimes means having to deal with outrageous client demands and far-from-positive interactions....all while remaining professional.

I have been working at Beaver Creek Ski Resort part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Beautiful facility, great people to work with. Fun environment to work in.

    Cons

You lose an hour a day having to park down in the Elk lot and ride a shuttle up to the village.

    Advice to Management

Better not to be penny wise and pound foolish. Some times you can strive so hard to keep a lid on costs, that you loose good people in the process.

    Cons

Seasonal, if you start out as a lifty or something you will have to advance yourself or just stay a lifty forever.
