    Pros

Excellent salary. Some great admin employees and sales reps.

    Cons

Micro managed by someone that doesn't have the faintest clue about your job. Horrible Project managers, upper management knew of and would turn a blind eye. Their bonus program is bogus. You would literally have to be a GOD to achieve there goals.

    Advice to Management

Let the people you trained do their job without micro managing them. Build the home correctly the first time and the cost will be minimal on the tail end. When an employee ask for help, hire help.

    Pros

Stable employment as long as you did your job, but no room for advancement

    Cons

No career path. Upper management would listen to and trust a contractor over a seasoned employee. Most under staffed department in the company for the workload. . No career path at all. If you weren't a member of the cool kids club you wouldn't get listen to to by upper management at.all.

    Advice to Management

Trust the people put in place to do their jobs. Establish career paths. Value your seasoned employees higher than a contractor...they're the ones that know the systems best.

    Pros

The CEO seems to genuinely care about the business and is a very nice, friendly man.

    Cons

Very strict. Very stuffy. Very uncomfortable. They are completely stuck in the 90s with strict working hours and cubes covering the office so that you can't see the light of day. It's all work, work, work with no reward. Ever!

    Advice to Management

Remember who came up with ideas, it's extremely offensive when you praise someone else for an idea that wasn't theirs. Join the 2000's and understand that life happens, it doesn't mean people will work less. In fact, they will work harder because they will respect you more.

I worked at Beazer Homes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Turn and burn environment that allows you to make money if you play the game. Benefits are decent but expensive.

    Cons

Unprofessional work environment, inconsistent management, no leadership and zero emphasis on customer service. There is no quality control which leads to a below average customer service rating. Homes are ok, nothing special.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive than reactive. Lead by example rather then out of fear of losing your job.

    Pros

The Work versus life balance was good here. Beazer also offered a competitive benefits package including health & 401k matching.

    Cons

Poor communication from upper management to other staff. No feeling of employees being "team members" or having your suggestions taken seriously. Upper management seems to make decisions without listening to feedback from people on the "front line," even though we are the ones who deal directly with the customers.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should communicate more directly with employees, and make them feel they have a stake in what the do.

    Cons

Favorites get better communities and breaks, fairness is lacking, must work most holidays, long hours, management out of touch with today's market, low morale, High new home prices led to low sales. Low sales means low pay. Eat lunch as you work.

    Advice to Management
