    Pros

Fascinating, huge projects all over the world
    Adequate/good compensation
    Very ethical, safe corporate culture

    Cons

    Really hard work
Lots of relocation (to some, that's a plus)
Sprawling nature of organization means you can get lost unless you go out of your way to maintain an internal network

    Advice to Management

Hold on to safety and ethics focus even if the business seems to be trending the other way.

I worked at Bechtel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

tremendous amount of work all over the country. Fair wages and perdiem.

    Cons

supervision in a lot of circumstances are unqualified and related to persons in upper management. they also assume that having passed the NCCER makes you a real journeyman without considering the experience level. that is a test that you can study for and in no way proves that you are a qualified journeyman.

    Advice to Management

you have a great company with good insurance. my only complaint would be what I said before, a lot of your supervision are not ready for the position and only have it due to friendships or relation.but as a hole good company to work for.

I have been working at Bechtel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a private company that knows how to stay alive. Unfortunately, it sometimes comes at the cost of employees (salary bumps and cleaning the house), but it can sustain business even when Oil and gas takes a hit. Love the 9/80 schedule and benefits. Bechtel truly lives by its vision and values. Safety and Quality are held to a very high standard. Our CEO really cares about everyone outside corporate. When you work for Bechtel, you are part of the Family, and they will take care of you!

    Cons

Not micro-managed well enough on the big projects. New engineering execution office takes away from the young engineers that came to the company to travel and work on projects all over the globe. It is a great idea for those with families that would like to stay in one spot, but millennials are anxious, impatient and don't find joy in the cubicle life 9.5 hours a day. Use millennials to your advantage and send them out to site to learn and grow as field engineers.

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. There is are a great number of opportunities for travel, professional development, and overall company/project involvement (if you are self-driven).

    Cons

Not really a "con," but be aware that travel is almost a MUST and typically involves relocation on a project-required basis.
