    Pros

    Discount on products
Company works well with scheduling (while in school)

    Cons

    Management can be a pain
    Customers are very rude
    Management expects too much
Customer is always right motto so managers NEVER back you

    Advice to Management

Treat employees fair and they will treat the company well. Work with the ones who want to move up and make that happen. The management needs to keep focus on employee improvement and help them achieve their goals either within the company or even moving to next one.

    Pros

We are given lots of flexibility in what can be done to accommodate customers. Such as ability to take expired coupons. Almost anything can be returned. It makes for happy customers and I don't have to argue with the customer about doing something

    Cons

There is rarely enough coverage. Management isn't very accommodating when it comes to requesting time off

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management will normally allow for change in your hours if you need it.

    Cons

Erratic training. Most trading consists of a manage giving a video presentation of 15 minutes and then have you sign off that you have been trained.

    Advice to Management

Plan better when ordering new, merchandise. Often times items order are already stick and items that have run out are not ordered.

I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Interesting products, product knowledge training when time permits. Many district level positions available. Company promotes from within frequent movement among positions.

    Cons

Be prepared to climb ladders, stock shelves, cashier, and be on your feet for at least 10 hours a day. Serious pecking order in stores and a mentality that outside experience does not account for anything in the bbb retail world.

    Advice to Management

Stop planning store visits a month out, show up unannounced and see how it really runs with no payroll and a skeleton crew. Not all rainbows and unicorns like you seem to think.

I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy work, Laid Back atmosphere, Casual Dress

    Cons

Poor training, Lack of professional Management, Double standards between trainer and training group, lack of structure. They say to always reach out if assistance is needed to pass the buck, yet, when you try you are denied and told to deal with it as some calls may be difficult. Never in my career have I ever seen a more unprofessional trainer; foul language, late to class, allowed people to sleep during the training and then made the rest of the class wait for hours while it was explained gain for the sleeper. After training there was no support on the floor, and their attendance policy was horrid. I was almost fired for missing work for my newborn baby having a hospital admission.

    Advice to Management

Get a better training system, institute some professionalism, and have compassion and understanding for people with doctors notes etc.

    Advice to Management

Treat all with respect and understand that while the needs of the business are very important, they should always consider the non business side of all associates.

Flexible in positions in different states. Many areas to learn and develop with and train. Customer service, sales, and selling always the #1 priority for the company

    Cons

Hard balance of home life and tasking with the goals set of service levels. Lack of payroll makes most tasks fall onto management team and as managers we too are limited to hours worked. Something always is set to a C priority.
