    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Bedford Public Schools as a contractor

    Pros

Children and parents are wonderful. Days fly by. Regular school hours.
New staff will bring positive attitude and leadership.

    Cons

Current teacher needs to go. Very high turnover rate. She alone has caused many good people over the past 2 years to leave. She has poor relationship with other employees. Lacks professionalism, and doesn't have demeanor to work with special children.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of above teacher or turnover rate will continue to soar. These beautiful children deserve positivity each and every day from all staff.

I have been working at Bedford Public Schools (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are excellent staff members who care about kids and care about excellent education in spite of the pressures they are under. The staff are the people who make the system what it is.

    Cons

The administrators do not value their staff and play favorites with young pretty handsome and cheap salaried teachers. They do not make everyone feel welcome. They are dishonest administrators who need to learn that people cannot be Treated like robots and should not be lied to and about. They try to railroad pregnant, disliked by them, and older staff members out by making their lives miserable. Some day it will catch up with them.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the current administrators, get a new culture, and stop lying and cheating and fabricating
Information to the staff and town. Be aware that you will get caught some day.

    Pros

Children need competent and supportive adults as role models around them daily.
Most employees want to be there.

    Cons

Not enough support from the government or community when it comes to funding-expecting more and more from everyone with less and less support given.
You never know from year to year if you will have a job because of the lack of support.

    Advice to Management

When it comes to hiring, firing, laying off and/or bumping employees, take into consideration how you would feel if the situation was reversed and the one being treated with such disrespect was you.
