I worked at Beeby Clark + Meyler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I learned so much in the short amount of time I was here. The reason I left was to relocate to the same city as my boyfriend. Everyone is very friendly and pleasant to work with. There are lots of smart people who are well connected and on top of the latest trends in the industry.

There's also great opportunities for growth, whether it's the opportunity to attend major advertising events or gain access to skill development programs. Senior management is very approachable and provides mid-year/annual reviews with the interest of your career development in mind. The work/life balance is fantastic, but you definitely need to put in your effort--it's not a place where you can easily coast.

    Cons

I wish there were more frequent agency-wide announcements. There might have been a hiatus because the in-house "PR" role wasn't filled until recently, but it would have been great to hear more about the ongoings on the agency, such as new business deals and awards.

I have been working at Beeby Clark + Meyler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to learn and grow, with an excellent culture that values employees and encourages them to pursue their passions, including outside the office. Although the agency is growing, it still feels like a big family, and the work/life balance here is greatly valued.

    Cons

Onboarding and general HR processes could be improved.

I have been working at Beeby Clark + Meyler full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work/life balance - it does happen, but rarely do people find the need to stay late or work weekends.

Smart, hard-working employees - everyone here works really hard, is friendly, collaborative and helps each other out.

Professional development is important to everyone here, including upper management, who encourages employees to further their training.

    Cons

Client diversity could be better. I believe they are working on bringing in different clients to keep the work as exciting as it has been to this point.

Minimal investment in tools for research, management, etc to date, but I also believe this is improving.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and stay smart as the agency continues to grow!

    Pros

BCM is full of lovely people and offers an exceptionally rare work-life balance in the Advertising industry.

The people are lovely, and the hours are flexible. Good NYC office location. Lot's of strong, capable women.

    Cons

The clients are a nightmare, and the drive and energy to produce and inspire truly excellent work are sorely missing. Both BCM and clients are happy to merely check boxes. There is not a clear consensus of BCM overall beliefs. values and best practices regarding digital media.

BCM is growing quickly and hiring frequently, but they do not have official HR in place, which makes the onboarding process for new hires very disorganized, uncomfortable, and slow.

Also, unlike most ad agencies, there are no bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Hire a full HR team and formalize/improve onboarding process.

    Pros

Management really cares about personal growth and learning. My manager helps make sure I'm taking on more and more tasks and responsibilities. Holistically the company is growing as business is growing so definitely a great place to stick around and work.

    Cons

    Maybe more vacation / pay?

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully it all scales with the company

I have been working at Beeby Clark + Meyler full-time

    Pros

Everyone here works really hard, but the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Employees are respected as hard workers, and as human beings. They have a great work-from-home policy and flexible hours if you need to leave early or come in late - as long as the job gets done your hours are very flexible. After working at a few dysfunctional firms, it's such a relief that this one is so "functional." It actually surprises me there are so few "issues." They've done an awesome job at recruiting self-sufficient, reliable, smart, talented, driven adults!

    Cons

More could be done to onboard new employees in a more streamlined way, but I think that's in the works.

    Advice to Management

Keep facilitating the positive atmosphere that already exists here :)
