    Pros

It was a nice place to work. The people were nice and you were not micromanaged at all.

    Cons

After the Brown and Brown merger I wasn't sure where my career was going so I decided to explore other opportunities.

    Pros

Great culture - work hard, play hard mentality. Employees are passionate about what they do and passionate about delivering results for clients

    Cons

There is a vast disproportion of wealth within the company. The underlings work extremely hard, while the senior/executive management works just hard enough and the lower level employees are not compensated fairly for the work that they do.

I worked at Beecher Carlson full-time

    Pros

Culture of the company, hard work and dedicated employees that are always willing to contribute to team work.

    Cons

Some managers do not communicate clearly but expect their direct reports to understand what is expected.

    Advice to Management

Clear communication is very important and will overall help the company to be more successful. Make sure that the service folks are given fair bonuses as they work very hard and are dedicated to giving the best service in the business.

I have been working at Beecher Carlson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People we work with are great

    Cons

Lack of information from management about everything leaves you speculating about everything. "Bonuses" do not exist and there is no talk of why or when they might exist.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more, and try stick to what you say to some degree. Quarterly conference calls with the entire company are not useful, they are a waste of time and almost demoralizing. Award those that deserve it. Not everyone is a producer in this company, but they appear to be the only ones that matter.

    Pros

The work life balance is great. I work with good people and enjoy coworker company while outside of work as well.

    Cons

No idea what the career path is. I have no clue where, when, why, or how to take the next step.

    Advice to Management

People are fed up with the non existent bonus structure that is referred to by management. No growth in salary is also very disappointing.
