I have been working at Beef O'Brady's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Can pretty much make your own schedule

    Cons

Pay is not good for cooks or management. Especially if you work for the franchise and not the corporation.

    Advice to Management

Pay your cooks better. Beefs has the highest turnover for cooks that I've ever seen.

    I worked at Beef O'Brady's full-time

    Pros

Beef O' Brady's used to have a great mission of being part of the community. When the restaurant, no matter what location was involved with the local school, sports teams, and general public, they made a huge impact and impression of positivity in the area they called home.

    Cons

Unfortunately, many of the restaurants have lost the way of the original main man, Jim Mellody. He had a vision, and after his passing, the owners of the franchise, have seemed to split off and make their own trail. This trail that I have seen, has impacted the name and reputation in a negative way in many areas.

    Pros

Great atmosphere to work and the opportunity to make great tips.

    Cons

Management like to sit with friends in the bar after hours with her friends and drinks. It's very unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

    Needs better leadership.

I have been working at Beef O'Brady's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great environment, discounted food, live music, family oriented, easy to move up in the company

    Cons

Takes up a lot of nights and weekends, but what restaurant job doesn't? A lot of stress and working under pressure

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like they're thee ones paying your bills rather than you would be fine without them

I worked at Beef O'Brady's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome store owner and great management. They will try and work around your schedule if you have another job or are a student. But don't expect to have days off during busy months!

    Cons

Other servers can be petty and lazy. Restaurant frequently ran out of supplies making your job harder if customers wanted certain menu items. Kitchen workers were hard to deal with sometimes.

    Advice to Management

    Stay on consistent on rules

I worked at Beef O'Brady's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Free meals. Thats about it.

    Cons

Hours were plentiful but pay was low. Cooks were expected to do the job of 3 people for barely over minimum wage. The kitchen equipment was in poor shape and sometimes unsafe. Management was mediocre and the hiring process had no screening so the restauarant wound up going through (not kidding) 34 cooks in 2 years. Cooks were expected to have the kitchen spotless 15 minutes after close, often working alone, regardless of how busy things were. Management expected cooks to show up even if very ill. One employee brought a doctors not and they still cut his hours. The owner was a penny pincher who would lecture for 20 minutes over throwing away a plastic ramekin. I was often scheduled open-close doubles 2 or 3 days in a row. I was called in on days off and was expected to cancel my previous obligations.

    Advice to Management

Screen your new hires better, pay your employees a decent wage, allow more time to clean properly, treat the employees like humans rather than numbers.
