    Pros

The pay is decent and they offer ok insurance coverage. I wish the insurance plan was cheaper with better benefits.

    Cons

Working six days a week gets old quickly. Not enough vacation time to make up for it. Very unorganized in general.

I worked at Beef Products (More than a year)

    Pros

Working here is like boat ownership: the best day is the day you get the job and the greatest day is when you quit.

    Cons

To many to list. If you like being micromanaged then this place is for you. When I say being micromanaged I mean being micromanaged. You basically have to ask permission to use the restroom.

    Advice to Management

    Just shut the company down.

I worked at Beef Products full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay in this company is excellent if you know how to rub elbows with the right people and pretend to work.

    Cons

Very political organization. No external email for communication. Very strict attendance policy with no give. Working weekends when unnecessary. Termination of employees with no reason and no explanation.

    Advice to Management

Create a hierarchy structure. Saying "we are a big little company" doesn't cut it when you have no direct reports. Also investigate root cause of issues rather than listening to a select few who throw everyone else under the bus. They just may be the root of your problems!

    Pros

The support personnel are some of the most dedicated and supporting people I have every worked with. Depending upon your department, a good team environment

    Cons

The work environment is very heads down. If you are not looking at your computer screen or you do not have paper on your desk you are not working hard enough.

    Advice to Management

A little more effort in regards to work life balance would greatly increase your retention. Openly allowing employees to voice their suggestions for improvements would also help.

    Pros

None. Pay is good but no where near work the mistreatment you endure as an employee.

    Cons

Hours, culture, employee treatment, limited promotional opportunities, management attitudes, etc.

    Advice to Management

Get off your high horse, see how department heads are treating their people and old people accountable. Understand the concept of "WORK LIFE BALANCE."
