I worked at Beekley as an intern

    Pros

Beekley really is a fantastic company. I worked as a social media recruiting intern for 2 months, and I learned a lot about the field. The employees here are welcoming and helpful, and also happen to be some of the nicest people I know. The company culture is fantastic, and everyone here does their job well. A great experience with a great company!

    Cons

    None. My experience was great!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing :)

    Pros

Nice cult like environment if you are looking for that

    Cons

    Low pay and commissions
Unrealistic forecasting makes it impossible to meet goal
All products are "nice to have" but not necessities, which makes it very difficult to sell to hospitals that are cutting back and laying off their own employees.
Forced to nominate them as a best top company to work for. If you don't fill it out, they will come find you.
Cult like environment where no one is allowed to think for themselves or express ideas.
Must wear blazers 5 days a week and never take off your jacket unless you are sitting at your desk. Women must wear pantyhose and any violation of the dress code/cult leads to termination.

    Pros

Company offers standard benefits: vacation, 401k and health insurance. They do have a policy where one can work from home after 8 months for 2 days a week..

    Cons

Compensation is below average for the position. With changes in the healthcare industry, to base the majority of your salary on a commission structure is no longer a viable option..
The company culture is a stiffling environment. If you are a person who enjoys collaboration, teamwork and sharing new ideas this company is not for you.

I worked at Beekley as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great corporate culture, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Work life balance is fine and everybody knows your name!

    Cons

Salespeople are territorial. Salaries are lower than for comparable positions at larger firms due to the size of the company.

    Advice to Management

Spend a little bit less time in meetings and more time accomplishing tasks.

I worked at Beekley full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers. Family oriented. Decent hours.

    Cons

Low pay. You get the "talk" if you express opinion differ from others. Since there is a 90 day probation period, you constantly get new sales people all the time. Have to follow a script while selling even if the script does not work on every customer.

    Advice to Management

    Increase pay. Not so micro-managing.

Voted "one of the top best places to work in Connecticut" in 2007

In-depth training and continuous feedback given throughout time at Beekley

Apprenticeship program started in 07' in Marketing/Sales; great learning opportunity

    Internships offered as well

Company celebrations/awards given for yearly profits and recognition. Employees are highly recognized for their work.

    Cons

Not as diversified as can be; more minorities needed

Wished customer care rep. could have more time away from the phones to attend seminars

    Advice to Management

I have no advice or feedback at this time for Beekley Corporation. I think what the leadership is doing is just fine.
