    Pros

Good peers, French folks work much less than 40 hours a week, take a tone of vacation. So if you are French this place is golden for you.

    Cons

Discriminatory, many bad leaders, retaliatory, toxic, immature, bad work ethics, not up to par with USA standards/culture/work ethics/leadership skills. You must be a puppet to the French or French to survive. Strong and blunt favoritism towards French people. Americans stay away. I am not sure how they are getting away with the way they operate and all levels.

    Advice to Management

No advice can help. French know it all.

I have been working at Bel Brands USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits and good pay. The people are very nice and since the company is small, mostly everyone knows each other. Makes it easy to get to know co- workers

    Cons

Most of the leadership is from France, and the culture isn't that great. Not forward thinking like most U. S. companies. Too many manual processes and systems that do not work for the benefit of the business. No advancement, and lacking in work life balance.

    Advice to Management

    none

I have been working at Bel Brands USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The management team are nice to your face. Less so when you realize they are probably lying to you.

    Cons

The management team at the Brookings plant doesn't care about the production staff, particularly the night shift. The management team is unwilling to compromise on even the smallest things. They have also lied repeatedly to the staff promising an expansion that was supposed to happen this year, higher wages that aren't materializing, and have been taking away benefits. Events and changes are seldom communicated. They lowered the expected pay rate for salaried employees after one of their most successful years. If they are willing to lower pay on a good year, imagine what a bad year is like.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to your staff and start listening to their complaints or you will continue to remain heavily understaffed.
