I worked at Belcan full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Very easy and quick to get hired - Generally the people there are very kind and helpful

    Cons

    - Lots of turnover and job churn - The above makes it easy to suddenly lose your point of contact, forcing you to figure it out - They typically only offer contract jobs, with a pay cut due to recruitment fees

    Advice to Management

Make sure that you notify your employees before they lose their point of contact, and investigate why so many of your employees are leaving.

I have been working at Belcan full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Huge network of aerospace companies accessible via Belcan. This allows high mobility if desired and job security.

    Cons

The nature of the contracts Belcan has with employers means Belcan employees often do full monotonous work. And of course low level employees don’t make engineer salaries (Belcan pockets the difference).

    Advice to Management

    None

I worked at Belcan full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of social opportunity, laid back work environment (depends on project). Opportunities to work on lots of different projects. Ratio of time spent working/not working is only dependent on complaints from customers.

    Cons

The business model at belcan is that you sit at a desk and then belcan can charge a customer for the time you spend at that desk. Additionally, the needs of a project outweigh your desire to work on any other project. Don't have high expectations for being able to do desireable work. Belcan expects very little of their employees, so most of the work is pretty mediocre (verification usually). Even if you get a chance to do engaging or more difficult work, you will not be paid better for it. Also expect your freedoms to diminish greatly. Everything except reddit (?!?) is blocked on most project sites, and there will be no free wifi. You will have many days where you are bored out of your mind, so be prepared to make the most out of downtime when possible.

    Advice to Management

Respect your employees and they will respect you. Work out contracts with customers so that employees have a reason to want to work for you. The people providing the labor are the only reasons you guys make money, why wouldn't you take care of them?

I worked at Belcan full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours and improve Simulink skills.

    Cons

You will not learn much. Just to fill your resume with relevant experience

    Advice to Management

You need to invest in training your employees and not treat them like hamsters on wheels. Even employees that had been there for over 5 years don't know how to perform the tasks 100 percent.
