I have been working at Belcan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great people, great office environment

    Cons

Too much change without strategy that is easy to understand by the masses.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring so many VP's and Directors. It appears to your employees to be almost comical the rate at which they are being hired while business is being lost. Bad perception implies poor leadership.

I have been working at Belcan full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Freedom to work when you want depending on what contract you are on, relaxed atmosphere, great bosses in my experience

    Cons

Pay isn't great, especially for the area costs. Pretty high turnover, below average benefits. The idea here is to grab people out of college to gain experience.

I have been working at Belcan full-time

    Pros

Great coworkers, upper management is very transparent, clear company growth path, better commission structure now

    Cons

a more competitive base salary would be nice as would setting a clear growth path. work/life balance for anyone in recruiting is always an issue.

    Advice to Management

keep having training classes and following up to make sure all branches are where they need to be.

I have been working at Belcan full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good people and interesting work.

    Cons

Rate of pay specifically tied to customer rates - no wiggle room for raises if customer doesn't want to increase rates. (Haven't had a raise in ~5 years)

    Advice to Management

More opportunities for advancement would be wonderful.

I worked at Belcan full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The job was mostly stress-free, and most of the managers there were happy to do transfers for people who weren't happy with their current position.

I was able to work overtime whenever I needed a bit extra cash, which was probably the best compensation that Belcan provided

    Cons

Lousy pay and benefits. Each person is merely a "head" that is paid to charge the clock, so sometimes individual successes can go unrewarded/compensated

Current upper management seems disconnected and uncaring for the general worker, and some of the customers themselves can grind on morale. The "Butts in Seats" mentality runs wild here too since its a contracted company.

Benefits are subpar and even working towards higher education was very poorly rewarded.

During my time there, the company also cut several "nice to have" commodities that you'd expect from a engineering source (free Coffee, smaller cubes, etc).

    Advice to Management

Make us feel like you care. Let us have coffee. Provide more free lunches occasionally. Network with the local area and provide free or discounted services. Plan more community/networking events. All of these can make the job much more tolerable even without increasing pay
