    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Bell Canada

    Pros

A bit better than most companies for work-life balance with the ability to work remote (depending on group and role within the company). Benefits are fairly decent especially with the flex dollars covering most costs, but you will incur out of pocket costs if you want to increase coverage.

    Cons

It’s not as revolutionary as their ads claim, very slow to implement, but definitely a step up from government. Salaries (in a true product management role) are about 30% less than both service (ie Telus) and product (ie Ericsson) companies in the same city.

I have been working at Bell Canada part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good work-life balance. Good work environment. Stability in job, no major changes in job duties.

    Cons

Unionized environment, so seniority thrives. Slow growth and not great incentives for excelling in performance.

I have been working at Bell Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Benefits Stock sharing Events Well known brand Paid for performance (within set objectives, which change frequently)

    Cons

Support teams sometimes cause major issues for your account base Sales reps sometimes oversell what can be done Commission structure changes yearly, sometimes during the same year if there is a revenue gap the business identifies Work life balance can suffer, due to sheer volume of emails, calls, and outside meetings with clients.

    Advice to Management

Rewarding and acknowledging those who do a good job is key Trying to only highlight shortcomings or gaps is not an effective way to lead an upcoming younger generation of employees. Without acknowledgement of successes, anything accomplished will feel as though pointless in the bigger picture. When commission changes on a major point of an objective, direction on how to achieve similar compensation with... remaining objectives would be appreciated.
