    Yearly layoffs in usa, but not in countries with generous labor laws.

    Pros

    Some projects are leading edge. Many colleagues are brilliant and great to work with. Good salaries and benefits for these times.

    Cons

    Uncertain environment, especially with the takeover. Too much downsizing in recent years, too many good people lost, but that's true of too many major corporations.
