I worked at Bell Laboratories full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some projects are leading edge. Many colleagues are brilliant and great to work with. Good salaries and benefits for these times.

    Cons

Uncertain environment, especially with the takeover. Too much downsizing in recent years, too many good people lost, but that's true of too many major corporations.
