- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
pay is okay with differentials
Cons
I don’t even usually write reviews but I feel the need to warn as many nurses as possible. Seriously this place is so badly run I was absolutely miserable working here to the point of severe depression. Couldn’t even enjoy my days off cuz I was just thinking about the next time I had to go in and worrying about what would happen on my shift. SEVERELY understaffed. I had shifts where I was the ONLY nurse with only TWO techs for 20 something patients. Patients get in fights and also attack staff often. When you ask for help management barks at you. You can call codes when there’s an emergency but you’re lucky if anyone even shows up to your codes especially on evening shifts. As the nurse they have you running the unit with no real guidance. I had a tech come in drunk, techs fighting each other, techs fighting kids and all sorts of unprofessionalism. When I would ask for help they would say “It’s your unit, figure it out”. Not kidding. Doctors are rude too and really look down on the nurses and techs. I could go on and on but I really just recommend to stay away. There are little to no positives to this job. With the nursing shortage there are a million other places you could go as a new grad that will be better than this.
