    Pros

    A lot of benefits and on property benefits. Great support staff and high levels of professionalism. Plenty of room to grow and move into different departments.

    The company began to hire poor employees making the quality of service to go down and the culture to change.

    Advice to Management

    When you sell your soul for profit and unrealistic budgets you lose sight of what’s really important. The culture of the company has been cheapened by this new attitude. No advancement unless you leave. Some managers berate employees and keep them feeling worthless. Not a fan of that style. If you would listen closely you would realize that you have fostered as n environment of disengaged employees.

    Easy to be promoted, due to employee high turn over Co-workers Health insurance

    Cons

    No SOPs, under pays employees and over charges the guest while delivering a poor product and experience, very little investment in employees, lack of work/life balance, extreme favoritism, expect to wear many hats for multiple departments.

    Take a look at the root cause of the many issues here. Listen and act on your employees feedback.

    The job will keep you from starving to death.

    Cons

    This is a great place to work if you enjoy starting at a completely random time every single day. Never worked a consistent schedule only what was convenient for the employer at the cost of employee health. "Raises" here are a complete joke. I understand that basic concepts like inflation may go over the head of many higher ups here due to the rampant nepotism and favoritism within the company leading to fairly incompetent management. However, it's simply insulting to literal pennies per hour after it is taken into account. Management and guests alike at this hotel will treat you like a filthy dog. Did you finish your tasks ahead of time? Good. Go do all of it again with a fine tooth comb. The only thing bigger than the ego of the average guest at a Benchmark prophecy, is the number on the scale your manager steps on every morning.

    Detailed orientation and interview process. Strong team morale, and willing to work with employees to reach goals. Always doing their best to keep staff happy.

    Cons

    A definite ceiling can exist in certain parts of the hotels. Hard to keep staffing levels high due to the hospitality industries inconsistencies.

    I have been working at Benchmark Hospitality

    Pros

    The hourly employees at the Ames Boston Hotel are some of the finest people I have ever worked with. They genuinely care about what they do and each other. The pay and benefits are incredible because the hourly employees have union representation. The location is ideal in downtown Boston with access to public transportation.

    Cons

    The management at the Ames Boston Hotel are unqualified for their positions. There are constant struggles for them to make budget and they are rude to their hourly staff. Management makes no effort to connect personally or professionally to their employees unless it is in the manner of a disciplinary action. Management is disrespectful towards the union and have seldom cooperated with grievances.

    See if Chuck E. Cheese is hiring.
