    I have been working at Benchmark Senior Living full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Some coworkers, residents and families. Reasonable pay.

    Cons

    I work in a brand new community. There are fewer than 20 residents, but we are all overworked. The big boss goes out of her way to try and find bad things about other employees that she doesn’t like. The Senior Management team has no idea who we are, what our roles are or our names. Constantly being questioned about our care decisions. Resident fell on her face and the big boss tried to not send her to the hospital. Violent residents don’t get sent out when they should. Obvious favoritism. The people that really care and do a good job either get fired or leave, then management makes up lies and excuses. Your workers know what is going on. Put at risk without proper equipment. Always short staffed. Current managers not qualified. Home Office Management team don’t care. They only care about themselves, how they look and always blaming someone else. Oh and how “pretty” the building is.

Throughout the duration of the pandemic, we have gone above and beyond the reporting procedures established by state and local health departments. We try to communicate as quickly as we can, but more importantly, we want to communicate as accurately as we can, while still complying with privacy and public health regulations. Our associates are heroes in every respect. They put themselves at the front line of this battle every day because they care about our residents as if they’re a member of their own family.

    Management lies on you, very unorganized. They are racist. Employees are rude and nasty.

    NONE, absolutely nothing good about this company.

    Cons

    This is a REAL ESTATE COMPANY pretending to be a healthcare company. Big on sales nonsense, absolutely falls flat on delivering services. If you love your family member , don't send them to Benchmark.

    Some great coworkers, decent benefits

    Cons

    Lots of call outs and short staffed days, walkies were always broken or dead which lead to communication issues, not enough RCA's for the amount of residents and care that they require

    I worked at Benchmark Senior Living full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    The residents are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

    They built a model of staffing when they didn't accept residents with heavy medical needs. Then they started accepting heavier and heavier medical situations while keeping staffing and support services at the light needs rate. Staff burns out, dissatisfaction hits an all-time high, & the residents receive sub-standard care.
