    Pros

    Company offers great comp plans for its sales people. Offers room for advancement and career growth. They have a strong value proposition for small to medium sized business and with the backing of a new investor, has plans for explosive growth over the next few years

    Cons

    A few growing pains as they are merging two complimentary but distinct companies.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to develop and train your front line leaders

    I worked at BenefitMall full-time

    Pros

    Casual dress code, regular effort to improve technology, benefit options improving in 2019.

    Cons

    Limited room to actually advance, only transfer departments. Performance is based on metrics revolving around number and age of cases. Local managements only concern is that cases not be "too old" without being touched for reporting purposes. Easy system to maintain as long as your volume is sustainable, but you will receive no support if your case load is in excess of what you can manage. Creates a situation where salaried employees regularly work well in excess of posted hours just to try to keep up with the churn.

    Management is largely indifferent to this problem or willing to see the nuance that some people work a higher volume which creates "old cases." From their perspective one person who receives and works 100 cases a month is a superior employee to someone who receives 200 and works 150.

    Advice to Management

    You have people providing productivity reports who don't understand how to use or read the reports they're creating, which leaves out a lot of context. Workload being pushed on salaried employees is unsustainable and will result in continuing turnover in certain departments.

    BenefitMall really cares about it's employees!!! I have worked here for over 15 years and could not be happier. I am always made to feel that my voice matters....no matter what and they believe in having work life balance!!!

    Pros

    BenefitMall is by far the best payroll/HR company I have worked for. The robust suite of services, ease of use, current technology and incredible service team make my job so efficient. Truly the highest caliber of sales support I've experienced in my 18 years in the payroll industry. My Director of Sales supports the NorCal team to success year after year. The support of corporate is unparalleled as well. The sales training, marketing support and general accessibility to upper management creates an overall positive and fun environment.

    Pros

    One of my favorite things about our organization is our shared commitment to provide our clients with Effortless Service. We continue to collaborate and work together to enhance the client experience and I get to contribute to those efforts on a daily basis. Our culture is one of teamwork, respect, support of common goals and personal accountability. I consider myself fortunate to work with a group of people I genuinely care about. It is motivating and exciting to be a part of such an energetic company!

    Cons

    We sometimes move so fast, we lose sight of the human element and don't communicate as effectively as we should or fully take into account the impact of the decisions on our front line. We are aware of this and are working on improvements so it won't be a con for long!

    Advice to Management

    Keep giving opportunities to the front-line employees to share their feedback and truly 'listen' to them; they have some great ideas and are anxious to share them.
