Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Not good.

    Nov 8, 2022 - Anonymous Employee
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

No experts left so it's very easy to perform no matter the arena you're in. unlimited PTO high salaries for what the work is.

    Cons

Sold the company and have no experts left (Voya will have a handful there). Engineers are continuing to leave and even the CSO (customer service) people are leaving. Overselling products which are not theirs to begin with. They have to do this because there is not enough talent at the company and they are just grabbing at straws to keep their current book of business. Overpromise and underperform. TONS of erroneous reporting. I'm unsure how customers haven't figured out that the reports are flat out false and lying to customers is the epitome of the company. No moral compass is there. Like to brag about getting new markets, such as the state of alabama. but the lives count is only 30k, which is abysmall in comparison to their good contracts from years ago. Speaking of lives counts, they like to boast they touch 1 in 8 Americans, but they only have like 6 million lives (they overreport their market share).
