    Pros

Bennett College had a wonderful staff that provides you with the resources you need to be successful at your job.

    Cons

Not many downsides to working here. As a tutor, some students come to you last minute and sometimes expect miracles, however I feel that is a common thing working as a tutor.

    Advice to Management

Continue to advise and recommend students to attend tutoring by showing the improvement of students who take advantage of it.

I have been working at Bennett College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great hours, great co-workers, not very demanding scholarship, beautiful campus, small campus community

    Cons

Staffing, infrastructure, technology is not up to par with other schools, bad neighborhood, little training for new staff/faculty

    Advice to Management

Train staff better, lay out website better, update technology and mandate knowledge of technology use, update heating/air in some buildings, reach out into neighborhood

I have been working at Bennett College full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The coworkers that I have. They are hard working and dedicated to providing their best efforts for the students.

    Cons

The lack of financial, technical and other resources. The computers are old and in constant need of maintenance.

    Advice to Management

Signifificantly cut down on the high percentage of turnover of both faculty and staff. Bennett is constantly training new faculty and staff to work at the organization. This is time consuming and expensive. The students lose because of the constant turnover of personnel. The accumulated knowledge of the personnel (that leave) is lost and has to be replaced by new hires. Make provisions to keep Bennett's most valuable and dedicated personnel. Provide more professional development opportunites for the faculty and staff. Keep the faculty and staff informed about changes which will have an impact on their jobs. Have more programs and provisions to motivate personnel and show them that their work is appreciated.

I worked at Bennett College full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The students are the only best reasons to work for this institution.

    Cons

The downside of this institution is unfair treatment and leadership who spends more time in judging others on their personal feelings for them instead of the job performance that one performs.

    Advice to Management

Personal feelings and negative opinions about employees brings the morale of an organization down. The job is not about you, but is about the community that you are serving.

    Pros

Bennett is a very safe environment. The campus police do a good job of protecting the school and are helpful.

    Cons

Low pay, little to no room for advancement. This place is way too top heavy for a school this size.

    Advice to Management

Continue to think outside of the box. We can not continue to do business the way it was done in the 1950s.
