I worked at Benvenutos Italian Grill part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great crew, good managers, fun environment, great food.

    Cons

Not enough hours to make good money. The staffing was high to keep customers happy and minimize gaps.

    Advice to Management

Give wait staff enough hours to make good money and they will stick around longer.

I worked at Benvenutos Italian Grill full-time

    Pros

Flexible work schedule. Tips are paid out every night.

    Cons

You cannot make a living on the money you make there. You buss your own tables, but tip the bartenders out not only for the drinks they make but also for your total food sales for a total of 1.5% of your total food and drink sales.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to focus on business and less on forming social outlets.

I worked at Benvenutos Italian Grill (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fun people, ok food. I really only worked there for the people and for something to do.

    Cons

Management was poor. Ownership was worse. Raises were non existent. Only people making any money were the managers, but they were salaried at low rates so they ended up working 50+ hrs weekly which made them grumpy.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect. I heard they got rid of the only good manager they had. I wont even eat there now.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Get out earlier than other restaurants. Ok pay, not very long hours. Can still have a social life while working in a restaurant.

    Cons

Long breaks in the middle of shift. Just another employee to management they don't treat you like you are important. Not very fulllfilling. Almost all food is pre packaged and not made on site.

    Advice to Management

Hire management that is more qualified. Show employees you care more and that they are important and they will return the favor.
