I worked at Berkery Noyes as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good working environment, great friendly and inviting staff, reasonable hours, easy software use and training.

    Cons

not best location and unfortunately the firm seemed somewhat unorganized for how prestigious of a financial firm they are.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is that they devise a better office organizational plan in addition to giving their employers more hands on work.

I have been working at Berkery Noyes full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You have access to the latest technology. The business has been dominant in the Education sector for the last 20 years. There is a lot of knowledge sharing among the teams. Semi-Annual meetings bring all different parts of the business together so that people can share their insights. There is a lot of camaraderie among the teams.

    Cons

This is a family run business which makes career growth limited. At the same time, there is a lot of flexibility.

    Advice to Management

The business needs to expand to the next level and grow into a bigger business.

I worked at Berkery Noyes as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Hours aren't bad
Lots of different work to do because of the nature of the boutique
    Location
    People are pretty cool

    Cons

They hire too many interns, so you might spend a lot of time doing nothing
Analysts are not quick to give out the more challenging work/models
They primarily do M&A, so you don't get much restructuring/LBO/private placement experience

    Advice to Management

Develop summer projects for the interns to do during their downtime instead of only giving them whatever falls through the cracks

    Pros

There are some cool people and a they have a nice office.

    Cons

All of the work is just data entry on irrelevant information. The non investment banking side is filled with rude, unaccomplished workers. For such little pay and such pointless busy work, the trip to the city is not even worth it.

    Advice to Management

Let interns have exposure to both banking and research related projects. Pay them more.
