    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Berks Counseling Center full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent mission & coworkers. Benefits weren't ideal in the past, but they have improved dramatically and are competitive. Free supervision for clinical staff. Good starting salaries. Much room for advancement! I have advanced twice in the 4 years that I have been here.

    Cons

Regulations make things tough and create paperwork that seems over the top sometimes. Management tries to find ways to work with the system so that the job can get done, clients taken care of, and regulations are met but it is hard.

    Advice to Management

Keep trying to find ways to minimize paperwork, keep working on improved communication.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Berks Counseling Center full-time

    Pros

Option of 4 day work week; good Co workers

    Cons

Poor management, low salary compared to others in the area, they have no benefits, and you have to make a quota of 25 hours a week with clients to get off probation period. You are not important to management. High paperwork and out dated practice in terms of facility it's filthy. You cannot advance in training or certifications as training is through a Web based program.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to keep employees out of management problems and start taking care of employees. Start by offering competitive salaries and benefits. It's embarrassing that BCC doesn't offer insurance.
