I have been working at Berlin Ramos & PA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

PTO is great---after 5 years, you get 4 weeks PTO, 1 week 1 day of sick time and one extra week of PTO for working overtime during busy season. Very flexible with start/end times, you basically can make your own schedule within reason, many people work from home 1-2 times a week, some work remotely in other states. Everyone gets along well, partners are friendly and accessible, great 401(k) matching program, gym reimbursement, almost no travel, plentiful food, great benefits

    Cons

Hours are somewhat long in tax season---pretty high for a small firm but obviously less than big 4.

I have been working at Berlin Ramos & PA full-time

    Pros

The people are great. They feed their employees well and the work can be challenging. There isn't too much politics and everyone gets along well. Upper management is very helpful and they don't hang you out to dry. It's the people at this Company that makes its worthwhile. Lastly, the flexibility is great. They know and truly believe and practice work/life balance!!

    Cons

Salary is lower than market. The opportunity for growth is limited since upper management is already crowded as is. All employees are not created equal. Management should try a better job of maintaining equal treatment for employees in terms of what some employees get away with and overlooked.

    Advice to Management

Recognize your performers and award accordingly.
