    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Beroe Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Half decent place to start your career. But any time spent here for > 2 years is a complete waste!

    Cons

The culture is driven by the attitude and approach of the CEO. When you have a extremely hierarchical, insecure and wildly condescending CEO who lacks any empathy, all you're going to get are employees who become tremendous 'yes' men. That's what this company is, a cabal of 'yes' men. The more senior you grow, the more servile you get. The CEO's condescending attitude and rudeness is the core problem around this company.

    Advice to Management

    Learning some humility would help.

  10. "A very good place to start your career, not recommended for mid level switch"

I worked at Beroe Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Tremendous opportunities to learn in both technical and soft skills aspect. Employees will get good exposure to client industry and their practices
    2. Flexible work culture , team leads provide complete ownership of work to the employees (this depends on team you work)
    3. Good compensation packages and employee benefit schemes
    4. Very young, energetic and dynamic employee mix
    5. Transparent, objective performance review and variable payout system

    Cons

    1. No clear differentiation created when you move across different levels as analyst. Once you get familiar with category and research techniques you personally feel the career is getting now where. No proper support for career planning or career development or skill development in place. Whatever the L&D team provide are very basic and is not helpful.
    2. Very poor enablers available to support research projects. When the top management expect research report with quality no lesser than that of top consulting firms they should also provide enough enablers for the analyst to work with.
    3. Top management does not appreciate the fact that each industry or spend category comes with different levels of maturity. They must understand what research/output can be done or delivered on a commodity market on what can be done in service industry. Rewards and Recognition always went to the teams/individuals who marketed their work better. Those works would have come from highly standard commodity market which is very well documented. There is no apple to apple comparison when rewarding the top performers.
    4. Mid-level management is a big concern except barring a few selected individuals who are good. The rest of the group have been retained because they have been loyal for the company since the beginning phase.
    5. Too many policy changes, designation changes, changes in working structures. Changes is good but not to a level where you undergo three designation changes in over 18 months and the task being still the same.
    6. Enabler departments like IT/Finance are too slow in their activity which affect the analyst performance adversely.

    Advice to Management

One advice - Its high time to invest in quality research enablers rather than creating fancy brand image or providing Intel for free. No marketing is needed if the report can speak for itself.
