I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are always great people, the company provides a very good discount, most managers offer recognition for top performers, throughout the entire company stores that perform get rewards

    Cons

Some stores can be understaffed and lots of managers are not trained properly. Store management has a tendency to cause associates to lose morale and underperform.

    Advice to Management

Listen to sales associates more often

I worked at Best Buy (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Ability to earn a solid wage
    Benefits

    Cons

Politics/ Work/ life balance in management
Management willing to point fingers and take the easy road vs. seeking to understand

    Advice to Management

Be uniform across the board, if managers need to control stress headed downstream for the good of associates, DMs and above should do that too. Try to help where you can to remove roadblocks instead of adding additional ones with plans derail.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I work in the Chino service center. The people I work with are nice and managers are accommodating to employee's personal needs.

    Cons

Company makes random changes at a moments notices. People are expected to do the work of 2 or 3 people.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good discount.
    Competitive pay.
    Flexible with scheduling.
Good bonuses with good store performance.
Pretty good training (videos/depends on your supervisors).

    Cons

    Bad management.
Plenty of gossip (at my store, not so much elsewhere from what I have seen).
Corporate is bad with money and let's go of people/closes positions/creates new positions pretty often.
Lazy/bad coworkers reduce chance of bonusing.
Kissing up is almost required to advance in the company.
Managers can be very pushy with sales.

    Advice to Management

Don't tell your employees to stay off of their phones when all management does is hide in the office/break room/admin room/warehouse and text/snapchat friends.
