I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)
Pros
Decent pay, good discount, amazing coworkers, not an entirely strict / rigid work environment, personable managers who are willing to listen to your scheduling needs / concerns, not strict about tattoos and piercings (a lot of this might vary from store to store however)
Cons
Horribly rude and demanding customers, declining hours during non-holiday season, very high pressure during holiday season, re-org got rid of some great managers
Advice to Management
Please figure out a proper business model and actually care about your employees, like you claim.

Pros
The people that were there and veterans were experts in their departments. Any customer that came in to shop left happy and more informed; before Aug 2011.
Cons
They butchered the employee discount, while the senior leadership continued receiving their large bonuses and tell the employee its for the good of the company. Over working the under staffed labor and then complaining about how there's overtime being paid out.
Advice to Management
Stop screwing over the little guy that works for you. You need him more then you understand. If their not happy then don't expect employees to stay and be abused.

Pros
good place to work when you are young and before/during college. The discounts are nice but you don't make enough to really take advantage of some of the really great discounts.
Cons
It can take a long time to advance to management position. The hours are not consistent and you do not know when you are working from week to week.
Advice to Management
spend more time on training people before they are put on the sales floor

Pros
Geek Squad gets tons of free goodies and flexible hours. There are a ton of helpful coworkers and leadership within the company. If you are looking to move out of state or relocate, BBY makes it very easy to do so. Additionally, moving within departments isn't too challenging and many employees can eventually break into corporate if they peform well in their various positions. There are O/S, part-time, and full-time positions. Geek Squad will normally hire from within so if interested, get involved in the store's PC Home Office department first. Know your hardware, software, and networking!
Cons
BBY politics and Learning Center.
Advice to Management
Support your employees and adhere to policies with limited exceptions.
