I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The discount, reasonable expectations and management. A fun place to work, probably the best job I've had out of 10 other companies.

    Cons

Lazy coworkers, bad corporate process in some cases which leave the company paying for things that could be avoided and give more salary to the workers.

    Advice to Management

Hire better staff, enforce policy rules more often than make exceptions which cost the company more money and causes less labor as a result.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly people, easy to learn the job, they work with your schedule, hours are nice, pay is nice for a retail job.

    Cons

Management doesn't communicate well, systems are slow and freeze constantly, customers can be very rude, you're expected to know everything when training isn't done properly.

    Advice to Management

Need to know how to communicate better, treat employees with more respect.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun coworkers. Started out being flexible with employees but that soon changed as the company made changes to management positions.

    Cons

Horrible management, over the years each new manager was worse than the last. NO manager seemed to truly care about their employees.

    Advice to Management

Learn to relate to your employees

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great employee discount
    Terrific co-workers
    Flexible hours

    Cons

    Lack of communication at times.
    Not always great leadership
    Lack of product

    Advice to Management

Try and implement more of what your employees would see on the sales floor. We interact with customers on a daily basis. We know what sales and what doesn't. The stores operate completely differently now as they seem to be more along the lines of Apple Stores. They don't have the same lovable atmosphere that Best Buy used to have.
