    Pros

The co-workers are easy to get along with.

    Cons

I just started here, but the training is not well organized. Too many e learnings and not enough hands-on, especially for this job position.

I worked at Best Buy for more than a year

    Pros

Access to new tech. Possibly gain some technical knowledge, the company is good on training its employees. Learn about people skills and how to sell.

    Cons

It's retail so you will meet some bs and some wonderful peoples. Most likely the store management will give you a revenue goal, how much you need to sell a month in order to stay with the company. Also, they will defiantly push you to open as many credit cards to customers as you can.

    I worked at Best Buy

    Pros

The employee discount is really good on certain items that aren't too pricey & even then you might get lucky once in a while.

    Cons

The seasonal people don't get the same treatment as a normal or even part-time employee. No bonuses, no store commission. You're left to pretty much figure things out on your own. They don't even take you through sales training!

    Cons

I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Pay was good with no degree.

    Cons

Hours were retail nights and weekends. Retail work is generally grueling and thankless. Big box electronics is a dead-end industry and will probably be crushed by the Amazons and Wal-Marts very soon.

I worked at Best Buy part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It's a job that pays your bills. The employee discounts on high-margin products like cables are alright, many times rivaling online prices for similar products.

    Cons

High pressure to sell Geek Squad services and protection plans for devices since this is the easiest way for the company to make a ton of money, thus increasing the managers' bonuses. When managers aren't able to meet these services/protection plan quotas, they get canned. I had four different supervisors in less than a year. You do the math. A "rec sheet" that needs to be filled out for every customer. It's front and back. Are you kidding me? It's just another B.S. way to squeeze out more money from the customer by selling them garbage that they don't need.
