    Pros

Great training. Great people to work with. Amazing discount. Sales goals do not apply to the geek squad. Opportunity for movement within geek squad.

    Cons

Compared to sales floor the bonus structure is awful. Management wants best buy to be your number 1 priority even if you're part time which is awful when you're in school.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

great manager and teams and never a dull moment in your work week/ some systems are more efficient than at other employers

    Cons

a lot of hours worked and a lot of turn due to the occasional under valued associates/more investment in training

    Advice to Management

more associates less leaders would make the client service better and definately continuing to grow the visual piece of the business to appeal to female clientelle

    Pros

Coworkers and the discount were the biggest plus.

    Cons

General Manager had terrible managerial skills. She resulted in the store turn over rate. Pay was not competitive to other stores. New employees start off making more then current employees.

    Advice to Management

Have someone come and help the general manager with training and essential skills.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The discount they offer is second to none. Also the culture of the store is very welcoming and feels like family.

    Cons

There is a lot of work to be done for little pay and no commission. Because of this, it's hard to find motivation to sell more.

    Advice to Management

The management does a great job.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some autonomy
    More than minimum wage
    Generally decent coworkers AND customers

    Cons

High focus on sales numbers and credit card application numbers
Pay not comparable to commissioned salespeople, but I hear that there are more incentives now

    Advice to Management

Give better pay and make training more applicable (I hear this may already be happening)

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Flexible scheduling part time.
    Nice discount and accommodations
Not much else to say if you've worked retail sales in a big box then you know what to expect

    Cons

    Poor pay
    Boring work
A lot of inconsistencies in management delegating duties and supervisors handing off their responsibilities. A good part time good and that's about it
