    Pros

    - Really fun place to work - great products, great people (among the rank and file) - lots of autonomy
    - ROWE was great benefit when it was offered, but it was abused by some and I don't blame current management for taking it away
    - The company was very creative an innovative

    Cons

    - The lack of a vision, particularly how to compete against Amazon, is still a problem for the company. It was bad under the old management team, but I don't think it is much improved with the new management team.
    - There problem for Best Buy has always been in execution. So many great ideas are created in the company, but most never got enough traction to see the light of day because of the lack of vision within the company. Everybody worked on their personal projects, but with no idea how the pieces fit together as a whole.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great environment, up to the level of manager...

    Cons

The company does not put any importance on the quality of life during your tenure as an assistant manager.

    Advice to Management

Speak to assistant managers to gain actual insight, sometimes the wrong people are leading the helm of stores because they once were good assistant managers. The issue is when they become GM or DM they forget how hard the struggle underneath them was and overlook some great employees.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Can be fun when you are performing, overall benefits are great, and you are in control of your own destiny.

    Cons

Sometimes there is too much change and high expectation of rolling out projects fast before they are ready.

    Advice to Management

Try to eliminate cutting our line level employees and focus more on cost cutting with our vendors, supply chain, and continue to empower your managers to make decisions.

    Pros

enthusiastic employees eager to learn and have fun while being the best

    Cons

Overwhelmed with the amount that is required to know and understand and sell to the customers. Too much is expected with lil help or coverage on the floor

    Advice to Management

Be more attentive to your employees needs

    Pros

Excellent Benefits overall, tons of opportunities for advancement, employee perks are amazing. The hours were flexible, good vibe from the company overall.

    Cons

BBFB was very unstructured, and management sucked in my area. Management should have same guidelines in all area. My manager refused to let me work from home, even though I was told I could during the interview. He contraindicated himself frequently, causing confusion amongst the people underneath him. A lot of animosity towards the managers because of lack of information, training, and they just flat out didn't listen. They're trying to grow big too fast, causing smaller markets to work in, with little support from corporate.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who actually know HOW to manager their employees, instead of just hiring them because they sell well.
