I have been working at Best Buy

      Pros

Vacation, Bonus, work life balance is good, family orientated and great environment to work in. Great company to work for, ability to move up.

      Cons

Excel driven, reports driven, depend on others at times, health insurance not great. Out of pocket maximums are high and deductibles are high.

I have been working at Best Buy

      Pros

the company discounts that are offered were wonderful, especially when having to buy gifts for family. It was also nice for only certain products.

      Cons

There is minimal career advancement. You have to leave the company and come back to obtain a major increase in responsibility.

I worked at Best Buy for more than 6 years

      Pros

I thought the salary was fair and very good training. I liked my co workers and the ability to advance in the company. The benefits are decent compared to my current job

      Cons

work life balance, seasonality of the business, the hours get long especially in the fall preparing for the Christmans rush. Didnt always feel appreciated but I liked upper management.

I have been working at Best Buy

      Pros

Very flexible and family friendly. Your Best Buy career is definitely what you make of it and the company is great at allowing employees to pursue their passions.

      Cons

Best Buy is very good at giving people positive feedback, but not very good at negative feedback. Often, people who are not qualified will be allowed to apply for jobs multiple times simply to be passed over for other candidates (and rightly so). Most employees are very talented, but sometimes under-performers are allowed to stay too long.

      Advice to Management

Please place a little more emphasis on advanced education.
