I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Best buy is a good company, the best part of Best Buy is the great people. Best Buy is very flexible with almost everything.

    Cons

The down falls to Best buy is that the people that move up aren't alway the best for the job, it's more about who's friends with the right person.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discount, positive, looks good on a resume, training, experience for future jobs in sales, good costumer base for the most part

    Cons

I had major issues with management, I had issues with sexual harassment, I was promised so much but never given anything that was promised, I spoke with someone about the problems I was having and she told me to suck it up but it was her job to address it anonymously but instead told people, favouritism was a serious issue.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees and take action in serious situations

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

youll be treated fairly with a decent wage and a good amount of hours. plus the discounts are awesome. just be nice toyour co-workers and youll get it back.

    Cons

raises are minuscule and difficult to acquire, Advancement in the workplace is a joke and if you start as a seasonal worker, your training is often minor.

  10. "Great culture but horrible execution"

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible shifts and the ability to reschedule it at your whim on a weekly basis, lots of extra perks. There is some areas of growth where you can go, but I'd recommend you not to or get your supervisor/managerial experience and leave.

    Cons

Demanding goals with no compensation (no commission), Best Buy suffers from the "show room" syndrome where people just come to look but not buy. The company itself is going down hill and there's not much a retail associate can do - but they will blame it on you.

    Advice to Management

Be realistic on shoving down your unrealistic goals down your sales associate's throats
