I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Overall fun work environment, easy if you're doing your job. If you're with the right leadership team, it can be massively beneficial. Lots of business acumen knowledge.

    Cons

People come and go often, even with managers, so often built relationships can hurt your career path. Benefits were a bit expensive

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the positive culture.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Being a college student, Best Buy was MORE than willing to work with me on my hours to fit my school schedule.

Everyone was very friendly, and if I ever had any questions, they were right there to help out.

    Cons

The only cons that I ever ran into with this job is that you are on your feet, which is to be expected, and that customers can get rude. Again, that is to be expected. If you've got some tough skin and a good attitude, this won't affect you at all.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible work hours. Okay pay.

    Cons

Low morale of employees. Temps are harder working and have better team qualities than hired on employees. Step up system means harder working employees go unrewarded.

    Advice to Management

Listen and actively make change for your employees. I have been here too many years and there has been zero change. Employee morale stays low and management shows no commitment to change.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Get place to learn and sharpen your leadership skills. I was there for 10+ years and it was the best business school I could have gone to. I had great mentors and good managers for the most of my time there. I started as a part time associate and moved up over the years. Training was the best feature while I was there.

    Cons

Transparency wasn't always the best when I was there.
