I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Discounts were good on Best Buy brand, always was moving, learned about the new things coming out always up to date

    Cons

Management was bad, not flexible with dates, management never helped, long hours of fixing things around the store and helping customers simoltaestouly. No sick days, no days off if asked for, no vacation

    Advice to Management

Management should help out when there are kids of customers asking question to one. Sales associate when they are free. They are a manager but shouldn't just Boss people around they should also help

    Pros

They were very flexible with scheduling. If you needed a certain schedule they did there best to adhere to that schedule.

    Cons

For part time employees the pay was at minimum and there wasn't a lot of training to move you up without additional hours.

    Advice to Management

Invest the time in your part time help, they will be the employees that will trun out to be your best investment in the long term.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great first job. Employee training was a valuable experience, I've applied the customer service skills I learned there in most future jobs. Overall pleasant environment to work in. Management is very reliable, and operations and procedures are smooth.

    Cons

Hard to get feedback for operations addressed, as it is in any large company. Likely because management cannot do much about it, considering how high operations decisions go.

    Advice to Management

Try to dispel the opinion that Best Buy markups are huge. The markups are too big on some odd items, like cables, but are no more than most online retailers everywhere else.
