    Pros

    Cons

Nothing ever changed, not much room for advancement, raises were cents instead of dollars

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible working hours. Depending on the store it is not a labor intensive job.
There is training class to teach you how to sell better

    Cons

May need to chase revenue goal. Every morning your revenue status is on the board. Need to sell more in order to reach revue goal.

    Advice to Management

Conduct more one on one session, and set up more realistic goal. If the goal is too far it becomes hard to reach and decrease the motivation.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good discount
    Coworkers were friendly and helpful

    Cons

    --very poor training
    --poor communication
--departments functioned as separate entities making it difficult to get help or even know what you were supposed to be doing
--managers treated seasonal employees as "warm bodies"--no consideration for other employment, training/onboarding needs, etc,
--discount doesn't kick in for 30 days--for most seasonal employees they would not be able to use it
--highest emphasis was on selling geek squad and signing up credit card customers.
--didn't get shirt and nametag (supposedly required wear) until I'd worked nearly a month.

    Advice to Management

--Better communication with new employees including more personal training focus (instead of just videos). I was never introduced to most of the managers even, and was not sure who my immediate supervisor was. Provide more support to new/seasonal employees instead of throwing them in the deep end.
