    Pros

Coworkers were great and made it fun to come to work. The discount is tough to beat. Everything there is normally very over priced.

    Cons

Management is very unprofessional and problematic. They have had many HR complaints against them. They are the reason I, and many others left.

    Advice to Management

    Take a few leadership courses.

Diversity in the job, not doing the same thing all the time.
    Benefits are good for retail.
    Great discount for associates.

    Cons

Very little monitoring of management from corporate staff.
Complaints from associates are swept under the rug.
    High turnover.
Associates verbally abused by customers often.

    Advice to Management

Treat the employees like people, work as hard as you expect the employees to work. Give respect and you gain respect.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people and the energy are great. It isn't a chore to come to work. Fun environment with lots to learn keeps it very exciting.

    Cons

Training is a big area of opportunity. They tend to get caught up on "getting the numbers. Landing the sale." But they don't focus on getting people trained properly to make sure they know how to do those things.

    Advice to Management

Look more into why a store isn't meeting its numbers. Don't just assume people aren't doing work. Give them hands on training tools beyond "learning network" stuff. Hire good people and make them better. Don't expect the world for entry level off the bat.

    Pros

Everyone I worked with was really nice and respectful. The managers were always understanding about having a life outside of work so having a flexible schedule was really easy.

    Cons

Long shifts standing around was exhausting, but most people weren't scheduled that consistently unless they were a manger or a lead on the floor.
