    Pros

Great perks and discount. Friendly environment, feels like a second family.

    Cons

Work Thanksgiving, you don't have a set schedule. Some stores show favoritism but all stores are different.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great starting pay with good benefits even for part-time employees. Good management at select stores.

    Cons

Some supervisors are unwilling to work with schedules sometimes and will often schedule against your availability.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your associates when they are repeatedly complaining about a specific leader.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Discount on Best Buy brand items.
    - Meet great people (coworkers and customers).
    - E-learning, on-the-floor training, and company meetings keep you up to date on changes in the company and store.
    - Was offered to stay on as full-time, but I turned it down due changes in Best Buy system and better opportunity elsewhere.

    Cons

    - It was tough to get hours an a seasonal, compared to full-time or even part-time employees, which is understandable
    - The store began to implement pushing credit card sales, almost to the point of neglecting overall customer experience.
    - The store set almost unrealistic daily quotas for revenue per hour and credit card sales. If you didn't hit either at the end of the month, you must attend the mandatory meeting for training. If you fail the next month, you're terminated.

    Advice to Management

I understand that numbers are important. However, negative reinforcement (termination, mandatory meetings) aren't the only way to increase revenue per hour and credit card sales. Also, maybe set more reasonable goals for a less stressful environment.

    Pros

    Good Employee Discount
    Good Starting Pay

    Cons

Part-time employees work full time hours without benefits
    Hardly room to advance

    Advice to Management

Schedule Full time employees Full time hours and Part time employees Part time. Ridiculous when Part Timers are working 35-40+ hours.

    Pros

Good training, great discount on many products

    Cons

Pay cap for sales, if you don't want to be a manager you'll be stuck at the same rate
