I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and open door policy

    Cons

Worst communication between managers on providing updates. Also not giving employees the pay they desire for the work they do.

    Advice to Management

Need to provide better training and teaching leaders how to communicate to their agents rather than the agents try to figure out what to do by themselves

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Co workers I’ve kept relationships beyond

    Cons

You very rarely saw any people of color move up in the company and also some of the racist jokes told in the “chalk talks” and stereotyping black customers by every 5 minutes asking to watch a different person. Looks more like a buddy system in place.

    Advice to Management

Don’t know if there is hope for this company they are barely holding on. I would say however treat everyone equally and give everyone a real chance if they deserve a promotion.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I think its a great place to start if you want to get your foot indoor when it comes to the IT door. It should be a great stepping stone to something greater. People I have meet and worked with are great, but at the end it is a retail so you will run into some not so fun to deal with customer but it is what it is. Overall I will recommend this job for short term.

    Cons

Compensations pretty low for the line of work your doing. You could probably get paid 20-30% more for the same work you are doing somewhere else. But like I said earlier, this would be a decent work if you never had this job title before.
