    Pros

Awesome people customers are easily imPressed

    Cons

Corporate out of touch with reality. Expectations grow daily even when economy tanks.

    Advice to Management

Give floor associates raises and they will work he added and make happier customers. Stop making warranties so difficult to use. The reason customers dont want then is you add so many loopholes to get out of standing behind the products you sell. Also your layoffs in April were a terrible decision. You should have let go of more useless corporate people instead of the workers that serve customers daily.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hourly - no commission so you can budget you pay, discount for you and immediate family, lots of departments to move between (often due to high turn over), staff tends to be young and fun to work with

    Cons

False promises for advancement, even when producing at well above all department goals daily, was hired as "full-time" but was kept just short of the hours to avoid providing benefits, unrealistic expectations as to the attainable goals for protection plans & opening financing accounts, staff tends to be young which can present a lot of drama, meetings & "training" were waste of time because management made it feel like we were just going through the motions & not truly participating in the corp. education 7 culture, retail hours - nights - weekends - holidays

    Advice to Management

Have a little bit of enthusiasm, even if you have worked there for years and are burnt out. Lead by example, take pride & have a good attitude - it is contagious among your employees.
