I worked at Best Buy full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

competitive pay, great discount, great benefits for full time, non-commission sales

    Cons

work to life is horrible, sometimes insane metrics to try and hit pending on size of store and time of year, sometimes doesn't feel like the company cares about associates.

I worked at Best Buy part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Discount on Best Buy brand items. - Meet great people (coworkers and customers). - E-learning, on-the-floor training, and company meetings keep you up to date on changes in the company and store. - Was offered to stay on as full-time, but I turned it down due changes in Best Buy system and better opportunity elsewhere.

    Cons

    - It was tough to get hours an a seasonal, compared to full-time or even part-time employees, which is understandable - The store began to implement pushing credit card sales, almost to the point of neglecting overall customer experience. - The store set almost unrealistic daily quotas for revenue per hour and credit card sales. If you didn't hit either at the end of the month, you must attend the mandatory meeting for training. If you fail the next month, you're terminated.
