    Pros

    Employee Discount and vendor accommodations.

    Cons

Terrible Management, Poor work culture, Unfair treatment, sexist/biased treatment, unfair promotion, no accountability, no investigation for employee affairs, no support from HR

    Advice to Management

The human relations system is completely broken. It is unsafe to contact HR about any real issues as they simply call the manager in question and ask them to deal with it themselves. When there is an issue that truly needs addressing they sweep it under the rug. There have been multiple accounts of management harassing and belittling employees and HR does nothing. All in all it used to be a fantastic company to work for but the management who wasn't treating employees poorly to get results were pushed out. The only real solid careers that aren't affect by the new changes are projects team.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Its not just a job, the people are not just coworkers, its not just a team. It's a family. We are all very close with one another and have become close outside of the work walls as well as inside. When the employee is happy, the customers will be happy.
The raffles are great. all you do is study products, takes maybe 5 minutes. and you're entered, I am a person who never wins anything. I have won almost one thousand dollars worth of items, and I've only been there a year. Plus monthly bonuses.

    Cons

Only negative thing I think is the idea that the company chose to end several job titles. I understand its a tough economy. But it wasn't like it was just one title/one person per store. it was a large group. it was like the company ripped out our backbone and just left us laying there. it causes us to rely on each other more. and being a family we have each others back. but that just was not a good choice at all.

    Advice to Management

1.)Change is necessary, but not always the right choice.
2.)I love having my benefits. However it would be more helpful if we could add benefits at any time during the year. personally I couldn't afford to add all that i really needed in the beginning of the year. But now that i can afford it, I'm not able to.
3.) I think every employee regardless of credit should be approved for a credit card. Those with good credit will just be eligible for a higher balance. and for those who decide to accept it, make it a requirement that a minimum monthly payment be automatically deducted from our pay. That way its a win win situation. I know I would certainly spend more.
