    Pros

Diverse work environment with an array of different customers and colleagues to work with. Company offers a good discount for products in store and offers good accommodations with vendors.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on employee growth, not only from sales skills that company employs, but also allow for each person to being their own respective personality and assets to work.

    Pros

great employee discount, coworkers can be some of your best friends, benefits even to part timers

    Cons

pay is high for some but too low for majority, management puts a lot of pressure on line level associates, not many positions available for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Allow more advancement within company, keep pay consistent, be honest with associates.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The discount was great.
    Hours are flexible.
Starting wage is above minimum wage.
    Supervisor was very caring.

    Cons

Coworkers often leave their department to chat with other coworkers. You are left to handle all the customers yourself.

    Advice to Management

The monthly Sunday meetings are sort of annoying. Half of the things said are repeats from last month.

    Pros

Very good discount. excellent opportunities to move up with the company. You get to meet alot of great people. For a college and second job pay is not that bad.

    Cons

The only bad things about working at best buy is the long hours. working on the weekends and on the holidays is not something that liked to do, especially in the future when i have a family

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. The only thing i would change is try to understand that we don't control how many people walk in the door. we cant force people to buy things. Best buy should consider creating an incentive program for it's employees

    Pros

Nice employee discount, your co workers typically make you feel better about going to work. Overall, easy job, just a lot of human elements to bypass.

    Cons

Favoritism, unprofessionalism by managers, questionable methods, business ethics not present.
Expectations are unrealistic, too much responsibility for employees, a lot of inner workings and scheming.

    Advice to Management

Need to educate managers on how to deal with employee issues. Emotional intelligence would also be a nice trait for management to posess.
