I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)
BestBuy does not work on a commission based system so you can rely on a steady income. They train you well and prepare you before you start helping out customers. You will learn to talk and deal with consumers. You get a nice employee discount which is closely monitored to make sure you are not buying stuff for other people..
A lot of emphasis on selling accessories and getting customers to sign up for in store credit cards. The feeling of helping the customer was lost when you were highly pressured to make a large sale. My manager would have a personal meeting with employees if they didn't get enough credit card accounts in a week.
