    Cons

Hard to move up in the direction of administrative or HR if you're not in corporate.

    Advice to Management

Management can be spotty in terms of support. I have amazing managers and I have had destructive ones.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was not a hard job. You sold products that were easy to sell (computers and other electronics)

    Cons

You were pressured greatly to sell warranties/protection plans without commission. I was also getting $9.50 an hour

    Advice to Management

    Give all employees commission

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn a lot, mostly relaxed environment.

    Cons

Large emphasis on selling first, customer service later, even though you get minimal benefit for doing so. It seemed like co-workers cared more about their numbers than their work ethic

    Advice to Management

If the store is not hitting their numbers, it might have more to do with the location itself and the customer base than the abilities of your workers.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great if you enjoy learning, talking with people, good discounts sporadically

    Cons

Not much financial growth unless you are looking to climb the corporate ladder for a while. You are judged on your sales number's so no commission doesn't feel good.

    Pay is ok
A lot of Overtime depending on which team you work for
Expenses paid on hotels and car rentals for travel

    Cons

Being away from home for too long (wouldn’t recommend for anyone with a family, but I’ve seen many people make it work)
A lot of Favoritism (lets just hope that you’re one of the favorites

    Advice to Management
