I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Sales Training was provided. I was able to learn very valuable information.
Although this was a training session that isn't always offered.

    Cons

Pay is low considering the amount of impact you can have on a store.

    Advice to Management

Offer more incentives to good employees to increase revenue.

I have been working at Best Buy part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee discounts (amazing on certain products), 401K, bonuses, employee recognition. Best Buy employees are fun to work with. Meet new people everyday.

    Cons

Sometimes systems are down so customers get upset when we can't check certain things for them. There needs to be better benefits for part time employees like paid time off.

    Advice to Management

Keeping doing a good job at recognizing employees for their hard work.

I have been working at Best Buy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good starting pay, good benefits, decent hours, and great co-workers/management.

    Cons

Late closing shifts at times, occasional last-minute schedule changes without proper notice, and too much emphasis on getting branded payments.

    Advice to Management

Have a better system in place to inform emplyees automatically about schedule changes, and try to find a different credit company that isn't so strict on the number of branded payments but rather the quality of the customers being chosen.

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fun environment. They had a quarterly bonus if your store or team met their sales goals and customer satisfaction goals. I think my team missed out once on that. It was a great place to work. Lots of room for advancement of you are good at your job.

    Cons

Other than the hours I can't think of any cons to working here. If I didn't have a child I would have stayed.
