I worked at Best Buy (More than a year)

    Pros

Working with people who genuinely wanted to do a good job and help customers.

    Cons

Working with managers who didn't give a damn about anything other than selling warranties.

    Advice to Management

In the age of Amazon and Ebay if you want to keep your job you're going to need to build loyalty.. not just daily numbers.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were the best and you get to meet new people

    Cons

Barely above minimum wage for a non commission job
LOTS of micro-managing with strict policies and practices
Company may seem like they care about the work culture and such..but at the end of the day all management is concerned for is the numbers of the store to fill their bonus checks.

    Advice to Management

Have clearer lines of communication because there is a lot of content that is always being repeated that is not necessary

I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is better than working at Mcdonalds.

    Cons

You will be treated like dirt by managers who do not know what they are doing. Their management so bad that most employees do not do what they are supposed to. You will see the biggest collection of lazy people working for Best Buy.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to learn some people skills. They are totally clueless.

Excellent opportunities, should you work very hard and get your voice out there.

    Cons

Management is apathetic and impersonal, blame associates for overall departmental woes.

    Advice to Management

Get involved with daily processes, process improvement starts with your associates who know the daily tasks inside and out, show them you care.
