I worked at Best Buy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Get place to learn and sharpen your leadership skills. I was there for 10+ years and it was the best business school I could have gone to. I had great mentors and good managers for the most of my time there. I started as a part time associate and moved up over the years. Training was the best feature while I was there.

    Cons

Transparency wasn't always the best when I was there.

I worked at Best Buy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Company culture is excellent
Training, you always have the tools you'll need
    Discounts
    401K matching

    Cons

Sales positions are measured using way too many metrics
They'll tout discounts as part of why your pay is so low
No commission just bonuses, uses a complicated formula that gives managers thousands and part time employees considerably less

    Advice to Management

Continue to foster the excellent culture, turn around probably wouldn't be so high if you paid more than minimum wage to the majority of your in-store workers.

    Pros

Competitive pay, advancement opportunity, good benefit package. There are opportunities to learn and grow every day. Wide variety of career opportunities.

    Cons

The holiday season is always a challenge if you work on the retail side of the business. Long hours and extra days are the norm. This is more of a retail industry con than a company specific one.

    Advice to Management

Hold retail leadership teams more accountable to the values set forth by the company.
